SteelHawk (formerly Windseeker at Knott's Berry Farm) is what it is: a massively tall wave swinger. But when the ride ops are rolling, the line isn't too long, and the weather is decent, SteelHawk can be a pleasant experience. Plus with John Williams' greatest hits blaring in the background, this attraction kind of feels like (and this comparison is definitely a stretch) Disney's Soarin', but without all the immersive sights, sounds, and smells. And at night, when the ride is all aglow, and the moon is shining bright, the ride just gets a little bit better. Overall I think Steelhawk is a worthwhile attraction. I mean, how often do you get to spin around 300 feet up in the air?
A word of warning: SteelHawk's ride ops are very strict about height and weight. So you must be at least 52" tall, and you cannot weight over 300 lbs.
