Universal Studios Beijing is located near the intersection of the G4501 East Sixth Ring Road and G1 Beijing-Harbin Expressway in the Tongzhou District of Beijing. You can take Metro Live 7 or the Batong Line to the Universal Resort Station.
As usual, try to avoid visiting on official holidays, including school vacations, and on Saturdays, to avoid the biggest crowds. Visiting mid-week during school terms should allow you to complete all unique attractions and many of the copied ones in a single day without the use of Universal Express - Universal's paid line-skipping pass.
You can purchase tickets through our partner here: Universal Beijing tickets. You must enter your passport information when purchasing, and your passport will serve as your park ticket when entering for the first time. Facial recognition handles it after that. You can buy Universal Express as part of your ticket here, and you should consider that if you have only one day to visit and experience everything.
Download the official Universal Studios Beijing park app before you arrive, as it has an English option that will help make navigating the park much easier. You also can use that app to check current wait times and show schedules. Also note that the park is cashless, so consider setting up an app such as WeChat Pay before you arrive.
Also check the forecast and prepare for inclement weather, which could range from anywhere between snow and cold to heat and smog, depending upon the time of year you visit. Yet remember that bad weather often equals smaller crowds, so... it's a trade-off. Whenever you choose to visit, plan to arrive before the park opens so that you can enter the park before long queues have grown.
Inside the park, the kiddie coasters have the longest waits here: Flight of the Hippogriff, Jurassic Flyers, and Loop-Dee Doop-Dee. If you do not have elementary-aged children are not trying to bag every Universal theme park attraction in the world, you can save yourself plenty of time by skipping these. But if those are not the case, prepare to hit up Flight of the Hippogriff as soon as it opens.
As for major attractions, the longest average waits here are for the top-rated Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and the unique Jurassic World Adventure. Transformers: Battle for the AllSpark can be a long wait, too. If you select a "Set of 3" or "Set of 5" option for Universal Express, you may select two of those three rides to experience with your pass. You can get all three with the "Set of All" option.
