Opened in 1995, Port Aventura is the original theme park in the PortAventura World resort in Salou on the Costa Daurada in Catalonia, Spain. The park originally was partly owned by Anheuser-Busch and Tussauds before being bought by - and eventually sold by - Universal. (Today it is not affiliated with any other theme park chain.)
