Orange County Fire Rescue said the worker was wearing a harness while working in the middle section of the ride. Rescuers had to use their own gear to climb up to the the maintenance worker who was knocked unconscious from a six foot fall and lower him down.
Magical Midway is now closed and an investigation into the deadly accident is underway.
