The new Spiderman Rocks show opened with great success over Memorial Day Weekend.Though there were 3 special showings on Friday for Annual Pass Holders the show officially opened Saturday and had 9 showings during the day all packed to capacity (1800 people). Monday was by far one of the biggest day bringing over 30,000 guests to the park causing an added 10th show of SMR.

The Show itself is quite entertaining (though after about 20 shows in 3 days I am starting to sing it in my sleep). With a cast of 6 this is a high flying, explosive show set to some decent pop music. It follows Spiderman from his spider bite to defeating the Green Goblin and of course getting the girl (Mary Jane). From my personal observations it seems to be very appealing to young children, teen aged to early 20's girls, and parents. Over All I would say its an 8 out of 10 and will surely give Water World a run for its money.

P.S. don't forget to hurry up and buy a day and get a year free, this stops on June 16th and from my understanding will not be extended.

OMG, that was weird! Anyhow, I have MY review of Spider-Man Rocks on my USH Trip Report. It was actually very good up until the Green Goblin shows up. Then it falls apart. Still, it isn't a bad way to spend 15 or 20 minutes.

Hey! I enjoyed reading your comments about the new Spiderman Rocks show at Universal Studios Hollywood, Tim. :) I recently visited the park and took a photo with Spiderman (not the Spiderman in the show, but the one that takes pictures with park guests.) Anyway, he's awesome and I wanted to ask if there's anyway I could stay in contact with him, because I am doing a report for my performing arts course in which I would really benefit from his input. I'm also really interested in how he feels about his job and would like to ask him general questions about it. He could contact me through email, which would probably be the easiest way. My email is biscuitaya@yahoo.com. Thanks again!

I just saw Spiderman Rocks at Universal Studios in Hollywood and was wondering if anyone knew who played Spiderman. They told us the names of the cast members at the end, but it went by too fast. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone know the last name of the recording artist landon? He was the one that played on the drum-like things.

i thought it was good;quite entertaining actually. I thought it was going to be cheezey and crap and it actually wasn't that bad. the cast was really good too. And spiderman was hot! when he took his shirt off i was like "damn that dude is ripped!!" i couldn't believe it. I don't know if thats body paint or if he's actually got a nice body but it looked really good. lol.

I didn't think it was a bad show either. If you think about it, it is certainly cheesy, but listening to talented singers singing good songs isn't a bad way to spend 20 minutes. It's certainly better than Tarzan Rocks or Beauty and the Beast.

before i saw it i asked my friends what it was and they said "oh spiderman comes out with a guitar and his villan band and he sings 'spider maaann spider maann .. rocks!!!! thank you hollywood!' and thats the end of the show" and i actually thought it was a like a band..lol..just thought i'd add that comment

One of the best shows at Universal Studios Hollywood is definitely "Spiderman Rocks" - It's high energy. After seeing Spiderman Rocks (dozens of times), it's clear that although all of the cast is professional and follow the same choreography... there are some cast members that REALLY SHINE!! One particular spiderman is absolutely weightless. When he climbs about and flies around, you can get lost in the whole Spiderman idea. So, if you've seen the show once, and didn't like it. Try it again !!

Also, there are two Green Goblins that stand out, and seem to be more into the role. These two really get into character and it shows.

Problem is... that the #1 Spiderman and the #1 Goblin aren't always in the same show. But, it's a real treat when they are !!!!

--- Note: Worth going back and back and back again until you finally catch them in the same show. Because ... When spiderman ROCKS, he ROCKS !!!

I really taught that Spiderman Rocks was a Good Show then again I love the fact that, the guy ripped his shirt off anyways I was wondering if anybody knew who he was cause they said his name really fast...oh yeah mary jane too and also the guy who is under a record label the cute blond with longer hair.
