Weather in October/November in Florida??

Walt Disney World: Please let me know what to expect for weather in late Oct. and early Nov. in Orlando FL. Planning a family Vacation. Any ideas on what we can do there besides Disney, Universal, Sea World (which we will be doing)??

There is extensive breakdown on weather in the Unofficial Guide To Disney World by Sellinger.

Dont leave home without skimming this book cover to cover.

Well this is what a Chicagoian thinks:

When we have gone, we have had some pretty brisk evenings. I would probably say bring mostly blue jeans and maybe a sweatshirt or light coat. It seems to vary when my family go, but its never been "too cold" for us. I would say the lowest would be 50 or so.

The Weather is not bad at all. Recently the temp during that time of year still got up to near 90...no joke. But, in Florida, you just never know. Going by what i've seen in the recent years, i really dont think a jacket is necessary. And of course you want to stay up to date on the weather before you leave. I dont see any problems.

Other than the regular major attractions at Orlando, you can choose to go to the following as well:
Gatorland,

Busch Gardens Africa,

Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral,

Skyventure(skydiving tunnel),

Magical Midway or Funspot(killer Go-kart tracks, games, etc...),

any of the mini golf places in the International drive area,

Disneyquest, Wonderworks(practically the same thing as disneyquest)

Old Town in Kissimmee- good rides, Excellent shopping(not like mall shopping, its unique), they got a haunted mansion.

Well, thats pretty much all i can think of...have fun, and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.

As for other activities to to down there during your visit . . I agreee NASA is a fascinating half-day trip. Plenty to see especially if the topic interests you.

One thing I always tell friends to do while there is go to Boggy Creek Airboats! Its a great time - those boats really move out and you get to see another side to Florida other than the themepark craziness. You see the way central Florida used to be and you might get an exciting (but safe) look at a gator or few . . they have 2 locations, each about a half hour from Disney - nobody has ever regretted the side trip. Again, these are half day trips as well.

Enjoy (I'm going early October)

To add to that list, I went to a place down there the last time I was in Orlando. It was called Laugh Lab or something and I think it was near Church Street. Sorry for not being more specific. Its a nice night on the real Orlando town and the Laugh Lab is family friendly (for the most part, I would say ages 7 and up)

Kennedy Space Center is really cool too!

Weather....the past three years, warm, humid and scattered showers. Not to mention, chance for hurricanes. October has been fairly active for the past few years.
Things to do....lots.....

Low on the rain this year, lots of fires instead.

If you're coming to Florida and you smoke, BE RESPONSIBLE, use an ash tray. Most brush fires are started from discarded cigarettes. I really don't want to have to evacuate. We currently have thick smoke in the air here in Orlando from fires in Georgia and now Sarasota.. This will be the biggest issue this year!

There is less rain in October and November than in the Summer months and the cooler weather starts to roll in towards the later half of October...
