What Are *Your* Top Ten Attractions?
Yeah, we know everyone's votes for the top rides, collectively, here on TPI. But what are your personal favorites?
Yeah I know TPI has the top 25 attraction but what's you personal top ten attraction rides. I've never been to Universal Orlando so that's why there's no Hulk or Spiderman on but anyways here are my top ten theme parks.
1.Tower of Terror(DisneyMgM studios)
2. Rockin Roll Coaster(DisneyMgm Studios)
3.Mission Space(Epcot)
4. Tower of Terror( DCA)
5.Pirates of the Carribean( Disneyland)
6.Splash Mountain( MAgic Kingdom)
7. Test Track(Epcot)
8.Big Thunder Mountain Railroad( Magic Kingdom)
9.Star TOurs( both at Disneyland and Mgm studios)
10. Studio Baklot TOur( Universal Studios)
Well those are my favorites. What's your's?
1.Spider-Man (Well, it's fun)
2.Tower Of Terror (Florida)
3.Nemesis Inferno (Thorpe)
4.Xcelerator (Knott's)
5.Haunted Mansion (California)
6.Ghostrider (Knott's)
7.Space Mountain (California)
8.Goliath (Six Flags MM)
9.Riddler's Revenge (MM)
10.Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls (IOA)
Considering only those attractions I've been on in the past 10 years, here is my list.
To compile it, I asked myself the question, "If I could go on one attraction, what would it be?" Then I asked, "Okay, after that, what would I want to do next?" until I had 10 on the list.
Spider-Man
Men in Black: Alien Attack
Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland)
Splash Mountain (Disneyland)
Kraken
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Festival of the Lion King
Jurassic Park River Adventure (Hollywood)
Impressions de France
Mission: Space

It's hard to make a list in an order. So, here are my 10 absolute favorites rides (NOT show) in no particular order:
1) Spiderman
2) Mission Space
3) Spaceship Earth
4) Indiana Jones Adventure
5) Tower of Terror
6) Pirates of the Caribbean (DLRP)
7) Dueling Dragons
8) Soarin over California
9) Phantom Manor
10) Revenge of the Mummy
I think ROTM will be replaced by Space Mountain : Mission 2 (DLRP) this april...
storm runner lighting racer great bear wild cat wild mouse comet sooper dooper looper side winder trail blazer the claw all at HERSHEY PARK PA LOVE IT THERE NO BETTER PARK
I was waiting for ages for someone to pop this question up and that person was Justin, cheers! Anyway here's mine.
1). Dueling Dragons
2). Spider-man
3). Kraken
4). The Incredible Hulk Coaster
5). Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges
6). Colossues (Thorpe Park)
7). Jurrasic Park River Adventure (IOA)
8). Dudley Do-rights's ripsaw falls
9). Gwazi
10). MIB Alien Attack
Here is my list:
1) Nitro (Six Flags Great Adventure)
2) Dueling Dragons (IOA)
3) Spiderman (IOA)
4) Apollos Chariot (BGW)
5) Incredible Hulk (IOA)
6) Tower of Terror (MGM)
7) Montu (BGT)
8) Wildcat (Hersheypark)
9) Superman Ride of Steel (Six Flags America)
10)Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls (IOA)
This was tough. The first seven were easy, but the next three could have been replaced by five other attractions that I thought about for my top 10: Terminator 2 3D (USO), Alpengeist (BGW), Lightening Racer (Hersheypark), Shrek (USO), Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges (IOA).
Here's Mine:
1.The Amazing Adventures of Spider-man( Cant say its the best thrill ride ever yet, BGWs atrraction next year might blow it out of the water)
2. The Incredible Hulk
3. Rock 'n Roller Coaster
4. Men in Black Alien Attack
5. Jurassic Park River Adventure
6. Mission Space
7. Test Track
8. Dudley Do Right log flume
9.Lightning Racer( havent been on SR yet, when I went it was down all day)
10. Space Mountian ( a classic for me)
That was harder then I thought.
Im pretty confident with my answers though.
Using the same logic as Robert outlined above, here goes:
1. Tower of Terror (MGM)
2. MiB Alien Attack (UO)
3. Pirates of the Caribbean (DL)
4. Indiana Jones Adventure (DL)
5. Incredible Hulk (IOA)
6. Spiderman (IOA)
7. Lightning Racer (Hershey)
8. Carousel of Progress (MK)
9. Haunted Mansion (MK)
10. T2 3D (UO)
This list leaves behind at least a top ten of great coasters, but using the logic of what I'd want to go on if I had only one attraction, most coasters didn't make the cut.
I also didn't include the new Mummy ride at UO because I saw it during previews and frankly wasn't impressed, but it may not have been complete, based on what I've read since.
In case anyone cares, these coasters came to mind, but didn't top IOA's Hulk or Hershey's LR: Nitro, Medusa, Mill. Force, Wicked Twister, Comet, Great Bear, Alpengeist, Big Bad Wolf, Dueling Dragons and Kumba. Of course, those are in no order.

8) Test Track (FL)
9) Mission Space (FL)
10) Hurler (VA)
I had to add another criteria to Robert's questions in order to whittle my list down to just ten rides. When it got down to head-to-head comparisons between rides, I had to ask myself "How many times would I ride it during a typical day at the park?"

It is a tough one, I love rollercoasters, but only 5 could make it to this list, and the result of 16 years of visitng theme parks is:
1) The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (MGM) Best and funniest freefall ever!
2) Mission: Space (Epcot) The greatest thrill simulator!
3) X (SFMM) despite its problems, there's no coaster like this one in the whole world!
4) Incredible Hulk Coaster (IoA) Best looping coaster that is not 4-D
5) The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman (IoA) best dark ride ever, which is just one little step ahead of:
6) Indiana Jones Adventure (DL) the ride that keeps DL interesting enough and one of a kind...
7) Goliath (SFMM) the most intense helix I've been on!
8) California Screamin' (SFMM) a very very funny coaster
9) The Space Mountain - Star Tours combo in 1997 (DL), sorry could not narrow it to just 10, because these two were huge during the 1990's!!!
10) Fantasmic! (DL) the perfect way to end your day at a theme park, the best SFX/live show!!! MGM's version is good too, but DL's is simply GREAT!!!
For me,I like to chhose:
1)Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar
Point
2)Son of Beast at Paramount's
Kings Island
3)Incredible Hulk at
Universal Islands of
Adventure
4)Xcelerator at Knott's Berry
Farm
5)X at Six Flags Magic
Mountain
6)Indiana Jones and the
Temple of the Forbidden Eye
7)Alpengeist at Busch Gardens
Williamsburg
8)Storm Runner at Hersheypark
9)XScream at Stratosphere
Tower
10)Twilight Zone Tower of
Terror at Disney's MGM
Studios
That is my TOP 10 Rides!
My Top Ten would have to consist of "Types" of rides, rather than the rides themselves: Using Robert's logic, here we go ...
1. Steel Hyper Coasters
2. 'Suspended' Steel Coasters
3. Dueling Coasters (Wood)
4. Dueling Coasters (Steel) -- (& any other Steel Coaster)
5. Wooden Coasters (Twisted)
6. Wooden Coasters (Out-N-Back)
7. Immersive Dark Rides
8. Dark Ride/Coaster Hybrids (Like the Mummy, Tower of Terror and Outer Limits)
9. Outdoor Adventure Rides including Water Rides and Flumes
10. Flat Rides and Spinners (The Zipper tops this list)
The reason I like Wooden/Dueling Coasters over Steel/Dueling is the fact there is only one Steel Dueling Coaster that I know of (and have been on). Also, the rickettyness of wood makes the duel more exciting.

Okay, "Your Bottom Ten Attractions" would be way more interesting, as proven by the debate that followed Kevin's
Designing The Ultimate Orlando Theme Park threads - that one's probably my all time favourite on TPI, by the way...
1. Apollo's Cahriot --- Busch Gardens/Williamsburg
2. Volcano --- Paramounts King's Dominion
3. Big Bad Wolf --- BG Williamsburg
4. Top Thrill Dragster --- Cedar Point
5. Great Bear --- Hersheypark
6. Wildcat --- Hersheypark
7. Alpengeist --- BG Williamsburg
8. Chang --- Kentucky Kingdom
9. Top Gun --- Paramount's Carowinds
10. Loch Ness Monster --- BG Williamsburg
Mike ^^^ seems to have a love affair and or contract with Busch Gardens
I cannot believe that someone would put Great Bear on a top 10 list. That coaster's not even in the top four at Hersheypark (Storm Runner, Lightning Racer, Wildcat, and Comet are all better) in my opinion, let alone better than all of the custom inverts like Alpengeist, Montu, Raptor, Top Gun, or Talon. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but having Great Bear rated so high seems strange to me.
I've been on 8 different inverted coasters this year, and Great Bear ranks 7th among those, ahead of only the putrid Thunderhawk at Geauga Lake. Great Bear is actually pretty decent (it's a B&M, after all), but it's just too short to get anything above a "Good" ranking, IMO.
