Inside the Making of Busch Gardens' Howl-O-Scream

September 22, 2020, 5:01 PM · How has Busch Gardens Tampa been able to put on an after-hours, hard-ticket Halloween event when so many other theme parks have decided to cancel their events this year?

I talked with Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream Show Manager John Prast about the making of the 2020 event.

As John said, Howl-O-Scream 2020 will be an all-outdoor affair, with six returning scare zones plus four all-new scare zones: Lycan Landing, The Shortcut, The Junkyard, and The Escape. We gave you a first look at those new scare zones earlier this month.

If you're ready to be scared in Central Florida this Halloween season, Howl-O-Scream will run for 18 nights — every Friday through Sunday from September 25 to November 1. Tickets will cost from $29.99-44.99 a night, depending upon when you visit. They are available now on the Busch Gardens website.

How many people will show up each night thinking there will be houses?

No place I'd rather be than in close quarters with people screaming in my face!
