The Walt Disney World Resort is reopening a few more restaurants at the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Leading the way is Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom, which returns on September 24.
The popular restaurant inside the castle at the world's most-visited theme park will be welcoming guests again, but it will not feature the princess meet and greets that helped draw countless families to this often hard-to-book restaurant. Disney has had to modify or eliminate many character opportunities in the parks as it works to support safe physical distancing standards.
But characters will be greeting guests — from a safe distance — at Minnie's Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios, which returns with a Halloween theme on September 25. Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, and their friends will be available for photos at the "monster feast," which will be served to the table rather than offered buffet style.
Also reopening will be Gaston's Tavern in the Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland, which returns Friday, and ABC Commissary at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which reopens for lunch on October 8.
