Cedar Fair will begin reopening its theme parks this month, followed by its two big Ohio parks in July.
The company announced this morning that Worlds of Fun will reopen to its pass holders on June 22. Daily ticket sales to the Kansas City-area park will resume in "early July," the park said.
Kings Island will begin reopening to pass holders on July 2, followed by Cedar Point one week later - on July 9. Kings Island will begin welcoming daily ticket holders on July 12.
Cedar Point will reopen to daily ticket holders one day earlier, only July 11. But the park will be open only to ticket holders staying at one of the park's resort hotels and those who have purchased tickets already. Cedar Point will announce later when it will resume daily ticket sales.
Visitors to any Cedar Fair park will need to make reservations in advance of their visit, using the park's websites or official apps. Details on that process will be announced soon, Cedar Fair said.
Masks will be required at all parks, which also have implemented the by-now industry standard sanitary and operational procedures to promote social distancing.
"The safety of all of our guests and associates has always been, and will always be our top priority. We’re looking forward to returning to summertime fun in a safe and healthy manner," Cedar Point president and General Manager Jason McClure said. "We’ve implemented new safety protocols throughout the property that align with the recommendations of health and safety experts. With that guidance, we’re ready and excited to welcome our guests and associates back to Cedar Point."
Although Cedar Point is reopening to guests this season, just a reminder that it has postponed its 150th anniversary celebration and associated new attractions until 2021. In addition, Kings Island has not yet announced an opening date for its schedule new attraction, the Bolliger & Mabillard hyper coaster, Orion. (Update: Potentially good news for coaster fans in the first comment, however.)

I received an email from Kings Island stating that the Orion first rider auction/event in support of "A Kid Again" will take place on July 1st, so I assume that the coaster will open with the park on July 2nd.
