Silver Dollar City announced today that it will reopen to guests on June 15, following two days of previews for its season pass holders.
"Families are facing many challenges today, and we are excited to welcome them to create new and exciting memories," Silver Dollar City President and General Manager Brad Thomas said. "We've spent months planning and preparing to open within the health and safety guidance from our industry and governmental experts. We encourage our guests to read through changes we have made as they make plans for their visit."
The Branson, Mo. park will open June 13 and 14 for season pass holders before the park opens to everyone in two weeks. Visitors must make a reservation to visit, via silverdollarcity.com/reservations, as park capacities will be reduced.
Face masks will be required for all visitors ages three and older (except when eating or on water rides - and bring your own masks, BTW) and people must pass a temperature check to enter the park. Buffet restaurants now will be served cafeteria-style, and there will be empty spaces on some ride vehicles to maintain social distancing.
Season pass holders may make two reservations within the 30-day window available for reservations. Once you have those, you will have to wait until you've visited to make another reservation within that window. Cancelations must be made at least 48 hours in advance, but you can make same-day reservations if space is available. (Disney's Flex Pass really was the future, wasn't it?)
The new Rivertown Smokehouse and Cinnamon Bread Bakery will open when Silver Dollar City returns, but the new Mystic River Falls river raft ride won't debut until later this summer. There's no opening date for that just yet.
