The Netherlands' Efteling has reopened to guests, and now the park has announced an opening date for its newest attraction, a family coaster.
Max & Moritz will debut on June 20, the park announced today. The Mack Rides double-tracked family coaster is themed to Wilhelm Busch's 1865 tale of two bad little boys. The trains will race in opposite directions through an Alpine landscape with green spruces, mountain roses, and a babbling brook.
"We are very proud of the end result that has been achieved with the entire team in such a short time," Efteling General Manager and CEO Fons Jurgens said. "It's great to see all the pre-conceived elements have now come together in the ride. We are very curious about the first reactions of our guests. It is of course a completely different ride experience than the Bobsleigh (the ride it replaces) but Max & Moritz is perfect for the whole family."
The park also released its time-lapse video of the ride's construction.
