Final track piece installed on California's first floorless dive coaster

February 4, 2020, 6:36 PM · The final track piece has been bolted in place, and the first train has gone on the track for California's first floorless dive coaster - Emperor at SeaWorld San Diego.

The Bolliger & Mabillard coaster will feature 18-person trains on a 2,411-foot track, reaching a height of 153 feet for a face-down drop of 143 feet. The ride will reach a top speed of 60mph during its estimated two-minute total ride time.

Even though the track is finished and trains are going in place, we still don't yet have an official opening date for Emperor, though park officials say that the ride is on schedule for a debut this summer.
