SeaWorld San Antonio today announced that its top-level pass members will get the first rides on its new Texas Stingray coaster, which opens to the public later this month.
The new Great Coasters International coaster opens to the public at 10:30am on February 29. But pass holders will get first dibs the weekend before, the park announced today. Platinum pass members will get the first rides, starting at 10am on Saturday, February 22, followed by Gold and Silver pass members who can ride starting at noon. The coaster will be open to those pass members again the next day for the park's Pass Member Appreciation Day. Here are the details from the park.
The park last month released its official POV video for Texas Stingray, which is now the fastest, tallest, and longest wooden coaster in Texas, with 3,379 feet of track, a 100-foot drop from a 96-foot lift hill, and a top speed of 55 mph.
The opening of SeaWorld San Antonio kicks off the start of the regional theme park season for 2020, and Texas Stingray is the first new attraction opening of the year. (I'm counting West Coast Racers as a 2019 opening, since it opens to Six Flags passholders late last year.) We've got your schedule of theme park opening dates for 2020 along with major new attraction openings at those parks — which new rides are you most looking forward to this year?
