debut of West Coast Racers at Six Flags Magic Mountain this month, and Friday, the world's best theme park ride, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, opens at Disneyland. Next week brings construction tours for new coasters at SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Williamsburg, as well as the start of seasonal festivals at Knott's Berry Farm and Universal Studios Hollywood.
For an "off" season, there's certainly been a lot happening at the nation's theme parks. SeaWorld San Antonio — Saturday, February 22
Texas Stingray, a Great Coasters International wooden coaster, will feature a 3,379-foot track, a 100-foot drop from a 96-foot lift hill, a 100-foot tunnel, and a top speed of 55 mph. When it opens, it will become Texas' tallest, fastest, and longest wooden coaster. Park hours, Tickets

Busch Gardens Williamsburg — Sunday, March 15
Pantheon will be America's fastest multi-launch coaster when it opens in 2020, featuring a top speed of 72 mph, four launches, a 95-degree drop, a maximum height of 180 feet, two inversions, and a spike track leading into a backward section - all in 3,328 feet of track and a two-minute ride. Silver Dollar City — Tuesday, March 17
Mystic River Falls will feature the tallest drop on a rapids ride in North America, as well as an 82-foot, four-platform rotating elevator lift tower and an elevated river channel on a nearly half-mile, five-and-a-half-minute adventure. Park hours

Hersheypark — Saturday, April 4
Candymonium, a Bolliger & Mabillard Hyper, anchors the new Hershey's Chocolatetown entrance plaza for the park with its longest, tallest and fastest coaster, at 210 feet tall, 4636 feet long and with a top speed of 76 miles per hour. Park hours
Six Flags Great Adventure — Saturday, April 4
Jersey Devil Coaster is an RMC single-rail coaster that will stand 130 feet tall and reach 58 mph on 3,000 feet of track. Park hours

Kings Island — Saturday, April 11
Orion, a B&M Giga, will become the park's tallest, fastest, longest steel coaster, boasting a 300-foot drop and a top speed of 91 mph along a 5,321-foot track. Park hours, Tickets

Legoland New York — Saturday, July 4
And we wrap 2020's American seasonal theme park openings with the debut of an entire new park, Legoland New York, which opens north of New York City on the Fourth of July.
