Thinkwell's Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Disney's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and Universal's Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventures led the winners of this year's Thea Awards, announced this afternoon by the Themed Entertainment Association at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando.
Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island, which won our Theme Park Insider Award as the world's best theme park earlier this year, was honored for outstanding achievement in the Theme Park category while Galaxy's Edge was honored as a New Park Land and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run and Hagrid's were honored as Attractions.
The Themed Entertainment Association presents its Thea Awards to deserving themed entertainment projects and personnel each year. Unlike many awards programs that honor single winners in a fixed line-up of categories, the Thea Awards can honor multiple projects that meet an established standard of outstanding achievement in a variety of categories. The awards will be presented during the TEA's Thea Awards Gala presented by Chimelong Group at the Disneyland Resort next April.
Here is the rest of the line-up of this year's winners.
