First look at Disney World's new holiday fireworks show

November 3, 2019, 6:22 PM · We are less than a week away now from the start of the Christmas season at the Disney theme parks. To get everyone ready for the holiday season, Walt Disney World is sharing a first look at its new fireworks show for the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom.

The after-hours, hard-ticket party kicks off with the rest of Disney's holiday celebrations this Friday, running 23 select nights through December 22. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks will be one of the special performances features during the event, which also offers unlimited free cookies, hot chocolate, and other holiday snacks to visitors. The new production will feature projections on Cinderella Castle, lights in the sky, and new pyro visible from throughout the Magic Kingdom.

The new Minnie Mouse-hosted production replaces the Holiday Wishes show, which we recorded last year at the party.

Tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party vary by date and range from $99-139 a night for adults.

I'm guessing this might be one of the last times we hear Russi Taylor as Minnie Mouse (if recording hasn't already begun for Runaway Railway). :(
