Universal is bringing another of its original CityWalk restaurant concepts from Orlando to Universal Studios Hollywood.
Universal announced today that NBC Sports Grill & Brew will open on Hollywood's CityWalk next year. It will open across the plaza from Antojitos Cocina Mexicana and just up the way from Vivo Italian Kitchen — two other Universal restaurant concepts that first opened at Universal Orlando's CityWalk.
With Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville and Voodoo Doughnut also operating on both coasts, Universal is expanding the core line-up of brands it offers to CityWalk visitors in both Orlando and Hollywood. [Follow all the links above to our coverage of those restaurants' openings.]
So... when can we in Hollywood expect a Bigfire and a Toothsome?
Replacing Tony Roma's, the new NBC Sports Grill & Brew will offer 100 HD TV screens playing live sports and other coverage from NBC's broadcast and cable networks, including Sunday Night [NFL] Football, the Olympics, and IndyCar, among many other sports. From the kitchen, Universal promises "a fresh take on pub menus and a stellar selection of regional and exclusive draft brews."
Tony Roma's will close at the end of this month. The only opening date window right now for NBC Sports Grill & Brew is "2020." Stay tuned for more.

Wish they would replace something other than Tony Roma's. I can think of a few... It would be great to get Toothsome's!
