Disney sets dates for its next Festival of the Arts at Epcot

September 5, 2019, 11:40 AM · The Epcot International Festival of the Arts will return to the Walt Disney World Resort from January 17 through February 24, 2020, Disney announced today.

The festival adds to what promises to be a big month for Epcot, which also will premiere three new movie attractions in January. Awesome Planet takes over the "Circle of Life" space in The Land pavilion; Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360 opens in World Showcase's Canada pavilion, and Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along goes into rotation with Impressions de France in the French pavilion.

Meanwhile, the International Festival of the Arts will bring back its Disney on Broadway Concert Series nightly to the America Gardens Theatre, as well as visual arts displays, artists workshops and signings, and, of course, a selection of Epcot's ubiquitous food festival marketplaces. More details on those specific offerings are yet to come.

Next year will be our first time at the International Festival of the Arts. We usually only visit in the fall for the EPCOT F&W Festival, so it will be interesting to see how the events compare. Hopefully all of the new attractions will actually be open and operating when we're there at the end of January, as well as Space 220. Now, we're just waiting for Disney to provide some resort discounts so we can figure out where we're staying during our week at WDW.

I always loved Festival of the Arts at West Side. Unfortunately this isn't that.

Was utterly shocked at how good Festival of the Arts was in its debut year. We always make time to go and pick up a couple knockoff paintings to frame for the hallway and enjoy the music. I'm almost at the point where I enjoy it more than Food and Wine, just because I'm coming away with something lasting for my money.
