Both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando today launched sweepstakes to give away trips to their resorts to fans posting photos on social media.
Disney World’s contest offers a four-day, three-night trip for two people to the opening of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in early December. Disney will pick 77 winners, who also will get airfare and hotel accommodations in addition to theme park tickets, including admission to a premiere event on December 4.
Called Back to Batuu, the contest is aimed at people who will have visited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge already by the time the entries close on September 30. To enter, you must follow @WaltDisneyWorld on Instagram or Twitter, post an original photo from Galaxy’s Edge to their account on either network, tag @WaltDisneyWorld, and include the hashtags #GalaxysEdge #BacktoBatuu and #Sweepstakes. (Yes, you must include all three in your post to be eligible.)
You also can enter via Facebook by posting your Galaxy’s Edge photo in response to an upcoming post on Disney World’s Facebook page about the contest. And your response must include the three hashtags, too.
(Disney will pick the winners at random, so don’t overthink the photos here.)
Universal’s contest also offers a four-day, three-night theme park vacation, but for up to four guests. And it will be picking just two winners in its contest, which celebrates The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
To enter Universal’s contest, follow @UniversalOrlando on Instagram or @UniversalORL on Twitter, then post a photo to your account on either network showing what you would wear on a trip to The Wizarding World. Then tag it with the hashtags #WizardingWorldOrlando and #Sweepstakes to enter. This contest ends September 28.
In both contest, you must be 18 or older and not employed by the sponsoring company to be eligible. Disney’s contest is open to residents of the US, while Universal excludes those in Alaska and Hawaii. And each offers a mail-in entry option for those who don’t do social media. See the contest links above for those details.
Good luck to those who enter!
