The Walt Disney World Resort is redesigning the look of its bus fleet again — this time featuring Disney's biggest stars.
The new exteriors will feature Disney's "sensational six": Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto. Buses will be changing on the inside, too, with new seats and USB ports available on some buses. Here's the hype video from Disney:
Walt Disney World is upgrading its transportation throughout the resort, with the new Disney Skyliner gondola system coming on line later this year, connecting Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and several nearby resorts. There's also the recent opening of a new parking entrance to DHS, and the Magic Kingdom also has seen road improvements, as well, as Disney World looks to ease the flow of guests around the ever-popular resort.

TweetDo miss the classic design but these look nice too.
These are great! I'm really glad to see the classics, rather than new designs featuring Luke, Leia, Woody, Buzz, Peter (either Quill or Parker), Mike, Sully, etc etc.
Also, these remind me of what I remember as park passes, with the classic characters on them.
My family has switched from Disney to Universal a few years ago. It happened when Disney turned from magical to just a theme park. I couldn't justify the astronomical price anymore since the magic and innocence is long gone. It will take a while for it to happen, but if Disney follows the IP route they will lose the reason families take their kids there and will just turn into a theme park that is too expensive to be worth it. If not for Mickey Ariel and Cinderella we Never would have spent the money on Disney. They have a niche they are at risk of losing, be careful chasing the boy wizard, it may not end well.
I'm a little confused, Mr. Torrance. These buses are decorated with the classic six.
Seems like you would be a fan of this. Instead, you rail against Scrooge McDisney.
I think you could have picked a better article to post on, rather than one that gets back to the magical basics.
As for what you said, I'm afraid I'm confused by the content.
You don't go to Disney anymore because they're going the IP route. Instead, you go to Universal, who goes the IP route.
That's like saying you don't like Mini anymore, because their Cooper isn't as small as it used to be, so you went out and bought a Sprinter van.
That's why I go to Knott's now ;)
I'm surprised Disney has six buses. They are worthless to use anymore. If you're park hopping, you're better off driving to each park on your own.
I think the WDW buses get a bad rep. Certainly there are times when you can run into huge lines, crowded buses, and slow trips, but considering the number of people that make their way around WDW by bus, it's a pretty efficient and effective system. As with any public transportation system, you should always build in extra time, particularly if you're trying to get around during peak hours (during park opening and park closing times). However, there are few places in the world where you can get around as seamlessly and effortlessly by bus as you can at WDW - plus it doesn't cost you a dime.

I wonder if this means Disney will stop putting designs that advertise the latest Marvel movie on their buses. Probably not.
