Epcot's France pavilion will be getting a new restaurant as part of its expansion to add a new Ratatouille-themed ride.
Walt Disney World announced today that it will add a new creperie to Epcot's France pavilion, under the direction of the Bocuse family that also operates the pavilion's Les Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul eateries. The new, as-yet unnamed restaurant will offer both table service and quick-service takeaway crepes, in both sweet and savory varieties.
The new restaurant will be located near the upcoming Remy's Ratatouille Adventure ride, which is now under construction next to the existing France pavilion. Disney said that both will be open in time for the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, which falls on October 1, 2021, but otherwise it has not provided any more specific opening date.
TweetHoping for Bistro Chez Remy as well.
Same Operating Participant currently operating these venues at Epcot's France pavilion operate Remy's at Walt Disney Studios Paris, so perhaps the Rat will get some official place here in Florida....
Let the mispronouncation of crepes begin.
It's kind of shocking that it took this long to get crepes in the France Pavilion (I recall that they were available occasionally as an appetizer/dessert at Chefs De France). I think this is probably better executed as a counter service option in an already tight pavilion, but perhaps the new attraction will create additional space. I'm not sure why the France Pavilion needs 3 sit down restaurants.
Remy’s would be a great draw for kids/family dining.
Russell, there are already crepes at the France Pavilion at a quick service kiosk by the lakefront, Crepes des Chefs de France, been there for a while and popular. Has its own menu and listing on the WDW website. Dessert crepes only, no savory options
