Disney has a present for its theme park fans on Christmas morning — another peek at its upcoming Star Wars lands.
Following its reveal of the names of the two new rides in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, at the D23 Destination D event at Walt Disney World last month, Disney is promising to dribble out some new looks at its biggest new land ever on its popular Christmas broadcast.

The Star Wars land preview will air sometime within the two-hour special that starts at 10am Eastern and 9am in other US times zones on Christmas morning. If you're not a regular viewer of this theme park tradition, expect a bunch of musical performances (that were taped in the parks last month), hype videos for upcoming and newly opened attractions, restaurants, and hotels at Disney parks around the world, plus a look at the Magic Kingdom's Christmas Parade... which used to air live during the broadcast long, long ago. (TIL for some of you, I suspect.)
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is opening at Disneyland next summer and at Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort next fall. The land will feature interactive role-playing elements through the Play Disney Parks app, two rides — Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance — and Disneyland's first public alcohol-serving bar, Oga's Cantina.
It might also feature the biggest crowds ever to wait to get into a Disney theme park, so we are looking forward to seeing how that plays out, whenever Galaxy's Edge opens at Disneyland this summer.
