Oriental Land Co., the owner of the Tokyo Disney Resort, today announced plans to build another hotel at the resort — this time themed to Toy Story.
The new hotel — scheduled to open between April 2021 and March 2022 — would be the second Toy Story-themed hotel at a Disney-themed resort, following one at the Shanghai Disneyland. Tokyo's Toy Story hotel, for which a name has not yet been announced, will have approximately 600 standard-type rooms.
Here's the backstory, from OLC's press release:
Andy, the little boy who loves his toys – Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest – has embarked on the ultimate backyard project: a building to house all his toys. When Andy is called away by his mom, his toys and their helpers take over the “toy” tower and open it as a hotel for all the “honorary” toys of the world.
The 11-story Toy Story hotel will be the sixth announced hotel at the resort. Tokyo Disney currently has four hotels, with a fifth announced for the Tokyo DisneySea expansion opening in 2022. That property is planned for 475 rooms, at deluxe and luxury levels.
TweetI stayed at the Toy Story Hotel when I visited Shanghai Disneyland. I'm guessing this one will be similar, albeit quite a lot taller.
Hope we get one at WDW
They better bring this to WDW

One thing i've learned with OLC is that they announce a lot of things - many that do not come to fruit. Will only believe once it goes vertical.
