The holidays start this Saturday at the Universal Orlando Resort and Universal invited us to preview some of this year's entertainment at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure last night.
We started with a tasting of some of the desserts at this year's event. The consensus in the room seemed to be that the apple strudel on a stick was the winner, though there certainly is a visceral appeal to biting off The Grinch's face.

After the tasting, we walked on to the streets of New York for this year's installation of Universal's Holiday Parade Featuring Macy's, which premiered at Universal Studios Florida last year.
Then we got a first look at the new set for Grinchmas Who-liday Special, which now features a more traditional look, inspired by Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! book and the 1966 TV special.

Cindy Lou Who's home and the Grinch's lair each will open like a storybook on the stage, allowing scenes to play inside those settings during the show, which will run several times through the day.
We wrapped the evening with a cup of hot Butterbeer and the season's first showing of The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle.
Other Wizarding World shows include special holiday-themed sets from the Frog Choir in Hogsmeade and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees in Diagon Alley. The Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort entertainment is included with park admission and runs from November 17 through January 6, 2019.

But where oh WHERE do we find the apple strudel on a stick? We've asked three employees so far and no one seems to know.
