opened at Disney California Adventure last June, but not all its planned elements were ready to go on its opening day.
Pixar Pier
The biggest missing elements from the reimagined land will open next year: Jessie's Critter Carousel and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, which is the redecorated Flik's Flyers from the now-closed A Bug's Land. But Disney has added one of the smaller, signature elements that has been missing for the past few months: Luxo Jr.
An animatronic version of the character from Pixar's first-ever movie, who has become familiar to audiences worldwide as part of the studio's logo, now stands atop the Pixar Pier sign on the northern entrance to the land.
Luxo Jr., aka the Pixar Lamp, appeared after Disney's fiscal year turned over on October 1, suggesting that it might have been cost-shifting as much as tech issues delaying the animatronic's debut. But he's here now, so at least the marquee for Pixar Pier is now complete.
TweetThat's cute, but I was hoping for some hopping.

This looks bad. Hard to take a picture with. Looks out of place up there. There wasn’t a better spot closer to the ground?
