The Universal Orlando Resort today announced the next original concept house for this year's Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida.
Carnival Graveyard: Rust in Pieces goes meta by using an amusement park as its setting. "Ride parts have become instruments of torture and the walls have been painted in the blood of those foolish enough to enter. These carnies won’t stop until they’ve had their fun-filled revenge," Universal said in its press release. Here's the requisite hype video:
Knott's Berry Farm played with the same concept most recently in last year's Knott's Scary Farm, with Dark Ride, which many fans considered one of the top mazes of the year.
Theme park fans love their parks, even when they are fake parks within real parks. And what is scarier to a theme park fans than a broken-down park? It's a perfect Halloween concept for us, really.
Halloween Horror Nights starts September 14 at Universal Orlando this year, featuring a record 10 houses, led by the Netflix super-hit Stranger Things.
