Universal Orlando Resort celebrated the Fourth of July in style Wednesday night, with the first technical rehearsal for its new
Universal has been testing its fountains for the new nighttime show, which will feature water screens as a well as pyro and music. Weather precluded the test of any pyro tonight, but we got our first look at the projections on the new water screens, courtesy Universal's Michael Aiello.

The new show features scenes from Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Fast & Furious, Despicable Me, and more films on water screens with dancing fountains, pyro, and projection mapping. It replaces Universal's Cinematic Spectacular show at USF. The park has not yet announced an official opening date.

...........................well I’m going to say it then
BETTER than Rivers of Light.
It’s about time Universal has a Disney caliber night time show.
A W E S O M E !
Nothing wrong with copying Disney’s World of Color.
I liked the show better when it was called "World of Color."
Fantastic universal!!!!!!!
I can not wait to see this show matched up with the extra effects that are not in place yet. Great show.
So world of color from California adventure with a Universal overlay? Ok.
To all those saying that Universal is copying World of Color, I have memories of similar shows (although in smaller scale) in 2000-2010 at Mirabilandia, Italy. Just because you have fountains and water screens doesn't mean you're copying, you are just making your own version of a well known show-model.
Just as it would be for musical or ballet/dancing or fireworks and so on

We enjoyed Flight of Passage better when it was called back to the future.

While your right, this blog site seeks/demands originality of concept and execution. And, to be honest, that’s expected of die hard fans.
Disney definitely expanded/UPgraded/enhanced upon their ancient/antiquated dancing waters show with World of Color.
If you’re unaware of Disney’s dancing waters show, credit Steve Wynn for recreating the concept.
'Dancing waters' dates all the way back to the Steel Pier days at Atlantic City, N.J.!....circa 1950 !
@172.58.29.8: Credit Steve Wynn for perfecting the process. The show in front of the Bellagio in it's prime was perfection. A beautiful and iconic sight.
Jurassic World of Color!
@Barry
I don’t see the WDW Resort, Disneyland Resort or Universal Orlando Resort offering the same daytime experience as the Fountains of Bellagio.
As such, the Fountains of Bellagio remain a superior daytime experience!
One could even argue the nighttime experience remains superior due to the massive water canvas the Fountains of Bellagio offer.

This looks amazing! They did a great job integrating the various types of screens/fountains, the audio is riveting, and it touches on some of the best IP.
I wonder if they will integrate other IP into the show as it appears in the parks. It would be great to see Mario and friends make an appearance.
