If you loved Happily Ever After and Once Upon a Time at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland is taking those production up a notch with its upcoming Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland show, opening July 10.
The latest new show commemorating the resort's 35th anniversary, Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland tells the story of Tokyo Disneyland, under the direction of Mickey Mouse, who wields a magical conductor's baton to bring Cinderella Castle to life. Using projection mapping, pyrotechnics, and adding coordinated fountains, Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland blends technology that Disney has used in nighttime spectaculars at its other parks around the world, including at Florida's Walt Disney World and California's Disneyland.
Disney has released a short making-of video that highlights some of the new production, including the recording of its theme song.
Earlier this year, Tokyo Disneyland debuted its 35th anniversary parade, Dreaming Up! The 35th anniversary "Happiest Celebration" runs through March 25, 2019. Then the next year, the park will begin opening new attractions that are part of its major expansion project, which includes new rides based on Beauty and the Beast and Big Hero 6.
Tweetoh man.. I feel so lucky that I'm going to be there in just two weeks time! Can't wait for my first time in Tokyo Disneyland and Sea, after Disneyland Paris, DisneyWorld and Disneyland Anaheim.. time to add two new Disney parks to my list!
