mobile ordering system to select quick service restaurants at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Today, Disneyland revealed which locations will support the mobile ordering and announced that the service is now available. (*Update: Mobile ordering is live for annual passholders, but does not appear to be active yet for guests on other tickets.)
The Disneyland Resort last month announced that it would be bringing Walt Disney World'sYou will need the official Disneyland app to place your orders. (And if you have the app already, be sure to update it to make certain that you will be able to use it mobile ordering.)
We detailed how to use Disney's mobile food ordering system when it debuted at the Walt Disney World Resort, and the system's basically the same at Disneyland. You can select from allergy-friendly menus and customize your orders, and the Disneyland system also supports annual passholder discounts.
Here are the restaurants now accepting mobile orders:

This is the way to go when ordering from a participating counter service location, as it allows you to spend the time you need with the menu (the people who would have been behind you in line thank you!), while saving you the time waiting behind all those other people who needed more time to make up their mind when ordering, too.
TweetI'm happy to see continued functionality to MaxPass...it still ought to be free, but at least we are getting more bang for our buck.
I don't believe this is part of Maxpass. You can use it even if you don't have that upgrade.
Ah - good point Robert, thanks! Now I feel mad at MaxPass again. ;)
Just updated my app. Will try this next time I'm at the park......(probably not at Flo's because of that new menu!!)
Still the update is cool :-)
This worked really well when we used it in September at WDW. Looking forward to this excellent addition to DL's app!!
One the one hand, no more waiting in those annoying one-cashier-with-two-queues setups behind people who don't start reading the menu until they have to order! Yay!
On the other hand, to a park already struggling with overcrowding and gridlocked walkways, MORE people out on the walkways, waiting around until it's time to crowd around the pickup window.
Admittedly I'm an old codger, but I really miss the times when people accepted wait times, stood in line and stayed off the walkways.
The app doesn't work for Mobile Ordering if you don't link an Annual Pass. It might work in the future, but not now. You can only reserve dining reservations currently.
I wonder if that is part of the reason behind the change to Flo's V8 Cafe menu. Still a little disappointed about that one.

For those interested in how the rest of the app redesign works- I have posted a brief video. I hope this helps https://youtu.be/JuWkybQNNp8
