Avocado Toast has arrived at the Disneyland Resort. The brunch staple is now on the appetizer menu for lunch and dinner at the Storyteller's Cafe at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel.
That's just one of the changes on the menus at several of Disneyland's on-site hotel restaurants. And this summer, Disneyland will be changing up its character meals at the Grand Californian and the Paradise Pier hotels, bringing Mickey's Tales of Adventure to the Storyteller's Cafe and Donald Duck's Seaside Breakfast to replace the Surf's Up Breakfast with Mickey and Friends at Disney’s PCH Grill in the Paradise Pier.
Disney hasn't opened up reservations for those new character meals yet but it has added new menu items at Storyteller's and the Surfside Lounge. The Avocado Toast is $15 and is served with quail eggs and espelette pepper on grilled sourdough. Other new items at Storyteller's include Kale Salad ($13) and 'Nduja Sausage ($25) and Margherita ($23) pizzas. The lunch menu adds Short Rib Grilled Cheese ($18) and dinner sees the addition of Chicken Paillard ($32) and Braised Boneless Short Rib ($38).
Over at Surfside Lounge, Build-Your-Own Poke Bowls ($16) are available with your choice of Tuna, Salmon, or Tofu, as well as Spicy Mayo, Poke Sauce, or Wasabi.
Finally, Disneyland has standardized the food menu at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and Tangaroa Terrace, adding an Island-Style Hot Dog (ground pork and pineapple sausage in a pretzel bun - $12) and a Chicken Teriyaki Bowl ($13).
TweetI saw the Poke bowls at Surfside, looked good! Cool additions to the hotel menus.....but for the bigger question, how long is the the Dole Whip donut / doughnut going to be around??!!!
I'm guessing it's limited time?
Donut goes away on April 20, I hear.
Sorry, I cannot endorse something that's called a poke bowl with tofu as its main ingredient (YUK!).

Fantastic! Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth, but too often their food seems ported in from a 1960's bowling alley. Any addition of healthy, or especially vegetarian options (Tofu poke bowl, am I trippin?!) are greatly appreciated.
Put another way: if you're going to charge us $450 a night for a basic room, at least have food commiserate with that upscale price point.
