Happy birthday to @UniversalORL. Is it true that some big new resident has ordered a massive delivery of bananas for the occasion? ????????
— Theme Park Insider (@ThemePark) June 7, 2016
Universal Orlando's social media team is killing it these days, quickly responding to fans who tag the resort — and often doing so with a strong helping of the funny snark that's long defined much inside the Universal theme parks.
@ThemePark in all seriousness, you wouldn't believe how much $$ we spend on bananas now. Expect it to be discussed at a shareholder meeting.

At that point, some Theme Park Insider followers jumped in.
@UniversalORL @ThemePark yea between minions and Kong it must be insane ????

@David_Heller25 @ThemePark we could singlehandedly keep @Chiquita banana in business at this point.

@UniversalORL @ThemePark I sense a sponsorship .. Reign of Kong... Presented by @Chiquita
— David Heller (@David_Heller25) June 7, 2016
@David_Heller25 @ThemePark @Chiquita ehh..we've been leery of sponsorships ever since we saw the Indominus Rex, sponsored by @verizon. ??

@UniversalORL @David_Heller25 @Chiquita @verizon Shade... and a family plug, in the same tweet. Game is on point.

And with that, Universal's Twitter account took a bow.

The lesson? If you're not following @UniversalORL on Twitter (and @ThemePark, too) — you should be!

I never have understood the folks that prefer one over the other to the point of posting negative comments. WDW will always hold a special place in my heart, however that does not prevent me from appreciating USO or Sea world. After all, variety truly is the spice of life.
