This year's Grinchmas kicks off Saturday, Dec. 5, running for 21 days — the weekends of Dec. 5-6 and 12-13, then daily from Dec. 18 through Jan. 3, 2016. Who-ville's "Grinchmas" tree will rise above the plaza, under which you will find meet and greets with the Grinch and his dog, Max, plus assorted Whos. The event also will feature storytelling with Cindy Lou Who, cookie and ornament decoration, and musical performances by "Martha May Who-vier and the Who Dolls" and "The Wholiday Singers."
In addition, the publisher of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! will donate books to children in need for each park visitor who shares their good deeds on a postcard at the event, to be mailed to the Grinch.
The "Winter Wonderland" celebration gets underway at CityWalk this Friday, with nightly appearances by Santa Claus and "snowfall" in the "5 Towers" plaza. That celebration continues through New Year's Day.
TweetWell...uh...I've given money to Universal Studios! That's a good deed according to the Simpsons Ride!
