The Wizarding World of Harry Potter's photo-op store has moved across the Alley into the space next to Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions, formerly occupied by the owlery. A reader tweeted us a photo of the new location:
The old Shutterbutton's had been located in a relatively easy-to-overlook space in Carkitt Market, behind Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. The move not only gives Shutterbutton's a much more visible location, between Madame Malkin's and Florean Fortescue's Ice-Cream Parlour, it frees the space behind Weasleys' for future expansion of that popular joke shop. The Diagon Alley owlery effectively had been just an extended queue for Madame Malkin's and rarely needed for that function anymore.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley opened at Universal Studios Florida last year, following the debut of the original Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade in Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure theme park in 2010. Another Wizarding World of Harry Potter land will open at Universal Studios Hollywood, in California, next spring.
