The deal is with Chinese real estate developer Riverside Investment Group. Six Flags' press release describes Riverside as "an investor, constructor and operator of middle and high-end communities, participating in the whole industrial chain from planning and design to construction, business attraction and operation."
No word on the number or location of the planned Six Flags-branded parks, nor any estimated dates for completion. This is the second announcement this year of an expansion of the Six Flags brand outside its North America home, following a revival this spring of plans for a Six Flags-branded park in the United Arab Emirates.
