The Make-up Show was one of the original attractions at Universal Studios Florida when the park opened in 1990. In fact, the show was one of the few of the park's attractions that you could count on opening every day during that difficult first summer. Over the years, Universal's tweaked the show, but it retains its aggressive, irreverent humor, making it a favorite with many visitors.
Sure, you'll learn a few insiders' tips about how prop masters and make-up artists create effects for the screen, but mostly you'll laugh at the hosts placing audience "volunteers" in a variety of, uh, uncomfortable positions.

I give it a 9-Outstanding on the TPI scale. My only complaint is that contrary to some of the live shows at Disney, this show has too much momentum. It never slows down or takes the time to explain some actual effects. It's one of the few shows that I wish was a few minutes longer.
As of now, this and Nemo lead the live show bracket.
Plus on a hot/wet day its nice to be under cover for a while lol.
Enjoyed this show more the 2nd time round too
I remember one Holloween contest I made my 7 year old daughter into a nurse with all the necessary medical stuff. Then when she got to the judges stand, she smiled at them, then opened her mouth slightly to show her fangs, and drooled out the fake blood I had placed into her mouth just before she got to them. She got second place out of about 20 kids.
