Express Passes (Single Use) and VIP tours have dropped for Epic Universe

Edited: March 27, 2025, 12:34 PM

Just received the email stating that Express passes for Epic Universe are available. When I went to a few of the Facebook pages to see what people were saying, they are posting they sold out in a few minutes for May & June.

Express is showing $258 per person per day. Almost makes Disney look affordable.

hey its epic, you are going to spend all the money you have to get the ultimate vacation. if they made it ultra cheap they'd have a problem, "because if everyone's super, no one is."

Three rides not included for Epic. Battle at the Ministry, Donkey Kong Mine Cart, and Dragon Racer's Rally. I love Universal, but it's slowly turning into Disney. I'm liking Busch Gardens Tampa and Sea World more and more.

@NB: agree. I love universal too, and I’m stoked AF for EU. But $258 for an Express Pass had better get me on every attraction. I think as universal continues to grow the gaps in pricing between them and the Mouse will shrink for a lot of these experiences. Especially if they aim to make themselves a one-stop destination resort. Do we know if the Express Pass guarantees entry to the portals?

fattyackin - I suspect Epic is going to be an absolute mob until school starts. No idea about guaranteed portal entry with Express, but VIP should theoretically get you on everything.

what i meant is if they made it cheap, then everyone would have express and if that happens no one would get express because the express line would probably be more full then standby, and everyone in standby will have the most miserable time

Likely two years before I attempt EU. Unless they drop an unlimited EP at one of the hotels (which I doubt). Certainly that EP cost will be lower in the future. I made the mistake of hitting IofA early and it was awful. Waited on Pandora and Galaxy’s edge and was glad I did. Plenty other things to see and do.

epicuniversefan - I completely get it. We only stay at Hard Rock, Royal Pacific, or Portofino when we go to UOR. We only go in peak Summer, so the heat and crowds are miserable.

The only thing that makes it bearable is Unlimited Express. The dirty looks and comments from the standby lines never stop. As long as that stays the same at the original parks, I'll be happy. We will be avoiding Epic for at least 2-3 years.

There will only be a one ride each attraction versions of Express for Epic, probably forever, so that price is literally insane if it's not unlimited.

HappyHaunt - Your best bet is to go the week school starts around the country if possible. Most parks are a ghost town until the Halloween events start.
