Why can't Dinosaur stay?

With Dinoland USA being turned into a tropical Americas land I see no reason why Dinosaur can't stay instead of being rethemed into an Indiana Jones ride.
Here's my thoughts:
- Thematically, the Dino Institute could be based anywhere in the tropical Americas as much as it could be based in the US or anywhere else around the world.
- Keeping Dinosaur instead of Indiana Jones would maintain variety between the different resorts as there are Indiana Jones rides using the same ride system and layout on California and Tokyo.
- Not retheming Dinosaur will free up Capital that could be spent on a new C/D-ticket ride that would mean the new land would at least have a net gain on ride count over the current Dinoland and add capacity (although it would still be par on Ride count with the Dinoland USA when Primeval Whirl was running).

First, WDI has indicated that while Dinosaur is a clone of Indy at Disneyland, the remake of the attraction make it unique to its West Coast sibling. So if that is true, there will be differentiation between resorts with regards to these 2 attractions that will technically be clones (and were clones before the Indy announcement was made).

Second, Dinosaur has been an underperforming attraction for years. In fact, its popularity started waning once Everest was completed, and fell further when Flight of Passage debuted. Sure, WDI could refresh Dinosaur with new theming and story but still maintaining its prehistoric inhabitants, but if they're going through all the trouble of doing a complete reworking of the ride, they might as well as utilize an IP that has far more traction and awareness than dinosaurs (or even Disney's "Dinosaur" or Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur"). If you're going to go through all the trouble, you might as well do it right and get the most bang for your buck. Disneyland is the proof of concept for an Indy ride, and fits well with the Tropical Americas theme.

Next, Disney is giving guests a new C/D ticket ride with a carousel in addition to the Indy ride and Encanto ride. Ultimately, Tropical Americas will provide the same number of attractions as Dinoland USA with Dinosaur/Indy, Primeval Whirl/Encanto, and Hester and Jester/Carousel. Depending on how big the Encanto ride is, one could argue that the new land will feature 2 E tickets and a C ticket, when the old land had 1 e ticket, 1 D ticket, and a C ticket.

Finally, if Disney is going to retheme the entire Dinoland USA area, it should be a completely new experience for guests. Certainly, the Dino Institute could be set anywhere int he world, but leaving the antiquated attraction in an area Disney is trying to present to guests as "new" seems very disingenuous.

Fair. I think we're all just coping with the loss of dinosaur.

I have a CM family member who works at DAK. That CM laughs because, on the average 'Dinosaur' has a walk-on wait time. It's not a draw.

Funny, it's always been my niece's least favorite ride at WDW. As noted, it was always a copy of Indy anyway so makes sense to change it to that.

Yeah, I don't begrudge anyone with fond memories of Dinosaur but it's an unpopular ride at a park that desperately needs more stuff to do.
