At D23 2017 they had announced a number of new offerings at Magic Kingdom- the most notable being Tron and a new broadway-style theater on Main Street. I know I've seen online rumors saying the project has been delayed or canceled, but I'm curious if anyone here has more information on it?

I believe there was a rumor that Disney discovered problems with the ground where the theatre was supposed to go after making the announcement and was forced to abandon the idea.

It was canceled about a year or so ago. But the concept survived at Tokyo Disneyland, where a similar theater will open next April as part of the Fantasyland expansion there.
