With all the excitement over the weekend with d23 the premier of the new updated fantasmic happened in the background. It's on YouTube to watch it, what are your thoughts about it?
Personally it looks amazing and it feels so fresh but still stays true to the original.
Yeah I agree, the pirates of the carribean scene feels very out of place and doesn't really add to the story. Let's hope this version makes its way over to disneyworld in the not too distant future!

I watched an Instagram live stream on Saturday night, and I loved it! I greatly appreciated the nods to the replaced scenes (i.e. Mickey on strings like Pinnochio for a moment), and the environmental projection is top-of-the-line. I do wish they'd kept more of the jungle vibe at the beginning, but hey, you can't have everything. Jack Sparrow replacing Peter Pan... not a huge fan, but I think we all expected it. All in all, it's a fantastic update, and I can't wait to see it in person this fall!
