We will be in Florida the week before Thanksgiving and want to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Which day of the week is most likely to be slowest? We are flexible and can visit Sunday, November 14 - Thursday, November 18th. From reading other discussions, my impression is that the best strategy is to immediately go to Olivander's Wand Shop if we want to see the show, then head to the Forbidden Journey ride. Any thoughts? Thank you.

November 18 is the day of the midnight premier of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1. I know of 17 people just off the top of my head who plan to go to wizarding world that morning and then line up to see the midnight movie at citywalk at night, so maybe not that day lol.

We were there the week of Oct. 25 and we decided to do Universal on Tuesday and Wednesday. We got there before park opening (we did not stay on-property so we could not get in an hour early, but some areas (Spiderman) opened 15-20 mins. early for everyone.)
We want on Spiderman (no line) and then at 9am, we walked right onto the HP ride both days. There was already a line for Ollivander's even at 9am though; on the whole I found that line was usually as long or longer than the Forbidden Journey ride. By 10:30 to 11am, it was quite crowded in the whole HP area, but not as crowded as a Friday or weekend, according to some employees we spoke to. And the rest of the park was nearly empty. We had no wait for any other ride, even The Simpsons or The Mummy in the middle of the day.
I can't say what it might be like the week the movie opens, but for us, Tuesday and Wednesday worked out well. Enjoy your trip!

Monday-Thursday is usually the slowest if you are able to go.

i think monday is your best bet. It's the beginning of the work/school week, and noone is going to go. it should be practically empty, with the longest thing be ollivanders wand show at probably around 30 minutes, same for FJ. the rest of the park should stay 5 minutes on everything.

it might be best to treat yourself to a couple of night on resort, you get express tickets to skip rides, might be worth it. have a lovely time.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are a great time to go. All the kids are in school and most people are working. Go on either day - I'm sure you'll avoid the crush of crowds.
