To celebrate the opening of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next film, Captain Marvel will get her turn in the spotlight at Disneyland early next year.
Captain Marvel will join the line-up of characters meeting fans in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure, which also includes Spider-Man, Captain America, and Black Panther. There's no specific debut date yet for Captain Marvel in the park, though the movie drops on March 8, 2019.
Starring Academy Award winner Brie Larson in the title role, Captain Marvel is the origin story for this superhero, who — at least in this version of the story — started as 1990s Air Force pilot Carol Danvers. Things go horribly wrong, of course — this time with aliens — so Col. Danvers gets her promotion to Captain Marvel to help save the world. (Even though a Captain is typically below a Colonel, but let's not get into that now, okay?)
Speaking of saving the world, it's Captain Marvel's logo that appears on Nick Fury's pager as half the universe gets snapped out of existence at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. (Oh, please, don't come after me on spoilers at this point. It's been months!) So perhaps we will see her again in Avengers 4 — whatever it's called — as well?
Anyway... if you know someone who's a Brie Larson look-alike and needs a job, Disneyland probably is hiring right about now.

If I knew a Brie Larson lookalike the last thing I'd do is send her to Disneyland...!
