The Disneyland Resort has confirmed that it will transform Tomorrowland's Red Rockett's Pizza Port into Alien Pizza Planet for the resort's Pixar Fest, which starts April 13.
Pizza Planet, of course, is the pizza restaurant that Andy and his family visited in the original Toy Story film, at which Sid captures Woody and Buzz. Disney previously had branded its pizza restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida to Pizza Planet, but dropped that concept in favor of a Muppet theme by renaming it PizzeRizzo.
Disney is promising some menu changes along with the retheme at the Pizza Port. The "Alien" in the restaurant's new name are the Little Green Men, who will be the ones running the show here.
"A specialty of their home planet Pepperonia is a special pepperoni pizza topped with green peppers and mushrooms. They’ll also be cooking up a hearty cheeseburger pizza with ketchup, yellow mustard and pizza sauce on a sesame seed crust and topped with cheese, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, slider patties, a house-made burger sauce, and pickles," Disney said in its press release.
This isn't the first time that Disney has rebranded one of its Disneyland restaurant to promote a Disney IP. The Tomorrowland Terrace became the Star Wars-themed Galactic Grill for the Season of the Force event and Fantasyland's Village Haus became the Beauty and the Beast-themed Red Rose Taverne for the release of the live-action film, which it remains to this day.
Pixar Fest runs at the Disneyland Resort from April 13 through September 3.
TweetLet's hope they improve the pizza. How hard is it to make a real pizza? I heard they didn't improve the pizza at PizzeRizzo.

Why this hasn’t happened sooner is puzzling. I’ve seen this as one of the easiest changes Disney could make. Restaurant with an arcade, theme it to toy story with the toys actually being small. Easy peasy.
