Universal Orlando kicks off its Celebration of Harry Potter

January 26, 2018, 6:57 PM · The annual Celebration of Harry Potter kicked off this evening at the Universal Orlando Resort with a concert of Harry Potter movie music from the Orlando Philharmonic and appearances by some of the stars of the film series.

Stanislav Yanevski [Viktor Krum], Natalia Tena [Nymphadora Tonks], James Phelps [Fred Weasley], Oliver Phelps [George Weasley], and Bonnie Wright [Ginny Weasley] greeted the crowd of thousands of Harry Potter fans tonight at Universal Studios Florida. If you missed the event or want to see it again, Universal has archived its live stream of the opening ceremony.

The Celebration of Harry Potter continues through the weekend at the resort, with an exhibition of props, costumes and interactive experiences, Q&A panels with on-screen and behind-the-scenes talent from the films, demonstrations for fans, and the Orlando debut of the Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle.

January 28, 2018 at 1:06 PM · If Star Wars Weekends can get Mark Hamill, then I sure hope Universal can pry Rupert Grint away from his couch to attend one of these years. It's not like Emma or Daniel will show up.

I do like the Weasley kids, though.
