It's been a hotly-tipped rumour for some time now, but official confirmation came at London's Comic Con in a presentation by Dave Bushore, Vice President Marketing for Marvel Studios and Mark Huffman, Creative Director of Disneyland Paris.
Few specifics were announced other than the dates: June 10 - September 30, 2018. The 25th anniversary celebrations will continue alongside the new season. (The 25th entertainment is exclusive to the first gate however, whereas the Marvel season will take place in the Walt Disney Studios Park next door, so any crossover is unlikely.)
A few comments seemed to confirm rumours that a Marvel stunt show is planned to take over the former Cinemagique theatre. Notably, there was no mention of a Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! reworking of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which was a key component of Disney California Adventure's similar Summer of Heroes earlier this year.
With the 'Art of Marvel' retheme coming to the resort's Hotel New York by 2020 however, expect to see a drip-feed of new Marvel additions through that year and beyond.
