Determined by the collective ratings of ThemeParkInsider.com readers, the Theme Park Insider Awards will honor your top choices in the following categories:
And for the first time, given how many new parks have opened in the past 12 months, we will announce a winner in the Best New Theme Park category, too.
Attractions that opened officially between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017 at theme parks listed on ThemeParkInsider.com are eligible in the "Best New" categories. All locations must receive a minimum number of ratings from Theme Park Insider readers to be considered for the awards. The winners in each category will be the eligible location with the highest average reader rating and at least the minimum number of ratings.
Because the winners in each category are determined by you, our Theme Park Insider readers, we need to get your ratings recorded now, so that we can tally the results. If you have visited a park in the past 12 months, please go to themeparkinsider.com/reviews and themeparkinsider.com/hotels and follow the links there to rate any attractions, restaurants, and hotels you have visited.
We especially would like to draw your attention to the many notable new attractions that have opened since July 1, 2016. If you've visited any of these locations, please follow the links below to submit a rating. And if you register for Theme Park Insider and log in, you may leave a written review and submit photos for each location, too.

Also:
Last year's winners included six-time champion Tokyo DisneySea for best theme park, Shanghai Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure for best new attraction, and Universal Orlando's Portofino Bay Hotel for best hotel.
The fine print for this year's honors: Readers may submit only one rating/review per location. Clones of previous attractions are not eligible for the Best New Attraction awards. Readers who attempt to spam the ratings with noting but votes of "Perfect" and "Intolerable," instead of voting across the spectrum of possibilities, will have their ratings deleted. (I was a stats major in college — I know standard deviation and am not afraid to use it!) Finally, please do not rate locations you have not visited.
Thank you for being part of the Theme Park Insider community, and thank you for helping to make the site a wonderful planning resource by participating in our reader ratings and reviews!

Anyway, soon no one will pay any attention to your anti-Universal propaganda.
Big swing and a miss?? Nah, soon your swings won't even count, and they will be ignored by all.
==== NOTE,
Oh yes, I see, closing date = june 30
So, Symbolica is literally the #1 on the list for next year :-)
It MIGHT be the N° 1 classic darkride of the year 2017, worldwide.
Classic = full themed set, animatronics, augmented reality, AGV ride technology, ...
and 2 first-time-ever in dark ride history :
§ - AGV animated figures to dance along with the moving ride vehicles !!!
§ - 3 different routes attraction, by game-choice of the riders
My guess : ON PAR with Mystic Manor DL-HK , or better !

Look at the opening of the original Disneyland. It had a very rough beginning. Look at it now. Needless to say, just like many of Universal's recent projects since 2010, Universal has yet again pushed the bar to a new standard within a field to the point were it will take a few months to iron out the kinks. Kind of like the original Disneyland. It's funny because everyone told Walt at the time that it wouldn't work, and that Disneyland was a failure as well in the beginning. I'm sure if Yelp was around at the time, it as well would of gotten bad reviews at first. A month in operation means nothing. Heck we are still trying to wrap our brains around Shanghai Disneyland all the way to see if it's a success.
No one can judge a new park within a month. If we did that to all four of Disney's theme parks, then a month into all their operations, then they would qualify as being failures as well. Looking at the stats, that's far from truth in todays world. Now we can have this conversation on whether Volcano Bay failed or not probably about two years from now because the TEA report for a full year of operation at Volcano Bay would be in now, and there will be enough ratings out in all the websites to make a clear opinion of how the world feels about Volcano Bay. But until then, all we can do is go out and enjoy all of what 2017 in the theme parks has to offer, and admit because these attractions are hot off the press, delays are probably going to happen, but don't let those delays form your opinion because that's what happens to all new things.
On a side note: Robert Niles, I have a suggestions for a article. One that talks about the successes and downfalls of grand openings. That would be a good read.

As for the rest, 'Once Upon a Time' and 'Flight of Passahe' lock their categories.
