Starring Emma Watson as Belle, this version of Beauty and the Beast features new recordings of the classic Ashman/Menken songs from the 1991 version, which was the first animated film to earn an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. The new film also will feature additional songs written by Alan Menken and fellow Oscar winner Tim Rice.
The preview will be presented as part of the One Man's Dream attraction at Walt Disney World, while it will play in the old Muppet theater in Hollywood Land at California Adventure, where it also will be presented with in-theater effects.
Beauty and the Beast co-stars Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, and Josh Gad as LeFou. Considering the role that made Emma Watson famous, this gives us actors from the Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, Fast & Furious, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and (of course because this is a Disney flick) Frozen franchises, respectively, all in the same movie. And, oh yeah, Stanley Tucci plays the harpsichord and he's in the next Transformers movie, too.
Beauty and the Beast opens in theaters in the United States on March 17.
