Every year in July, we honor Theme Park Insider readers' collective choice for the best new attraction from the previous 12 months with a Theme Park Insider Awards. But that eligibility period doesn't line up with the calendar year. So for my Orange County Register column this week, I looked back at your collective reader ratings over 2015 to come up with a Top 10 list of the best new attractions for the calendar year.
With six more months of ratings, the order has changed a bit from what we honored in July, plus I took the liberty of adding an "attraction" from the food & beverage side of the business that I thought worthy of including. This list for the Register features only attractions from the United States, so some great new rides and shows — including Baron 1898 at Efteling and King Triton's Concert at Tokyo DisneySea — were not included.
Reader ratings are ongoing here at Theme Park Insider, and you do not need to register to rate the rides, shows, restaurants and hotels we list on the site.
