The 2014 Theme Park Insider Tournament: Journey to the Center of the Earth versus Sindbad's Storybook Voyage

March 18, 2014, 10:12 AM · If we were going to honor the best theme park attractions outside the United States, it was inevitable that we'd be featuring several entries from Tokyo DisneySea. Three times Theme Park Insider readers have honored DisneySea as the world's best theme park, and its attractions set the standard for quality throughout the industry.

So we finish the semifinal round of the Best Dark Ride bracket for this year's tournament by advancing a DisneySea ride to the final. But which one will it be?

In round one, Journey to the Center of the Earth defeated 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, also from Tokyo DisneySea. Sindbad's Storybook Voyage defeated a Universal entry, Sesame Street: Spaghetti Space Chase from Universal Studios Singapore. March 18, 2014 at 10:48 AM · Both look to be stellar attractions, but if they were in my home park, I would run to JttCotE first thing in the monring and save Sindbad for after lunch.

March 18, 2014 at 11:58 AM · This one will be a bludgeoning unfortunately. I don't see a ride that compares to Journey. Personally if I was lucky enough to make it to DisneySEA my first stop would be Journey it just seems to be exceptional

March 18, 2014 at 7:48 PM · Having just got back from Tokyo Disney Resort, I have to agree how amazing Journey to the Center of the Earth is. We rode it three or four times a day with Fastpasses. But I loved Sinbad as we'll. cute and clever.

March 19, 2014 at 5:06 PM · Was able to go on both mid february and both rides are great, but the queue and the pre-show for journey to the center of earth makes it a much better choice. The end of the ride is also amazing if you are able to go on it at night.
